What’s Recrafted by Lisa all about? Well the last time I was creative or drew a picture was over 40 years ago! I left school at 16 and went into a completely office based role.

I have been collecting and acquiring semi-precious gemstones and crystal for the past 10 years and during the Covid-19 lockdown, I started to make my own gemstone jewellery and started to explore the properties of crystals; I was fascinated at why I was drawn to them? how they made me feel when I wear them? I am still amazed at them … This is what I call my inner Magpie; see something glisten or shiny and I had to have them!

After the Covid pandemic, I  started a silversmithing course and wow I loved it.  I started to make my own jewellery, using recycled silver and the gemstones I had been collecting. 

Recrafting by Lisa came about after a good neighbour wanted me to recreate an old brooch into a ring… this was going to be tricky, so I took my time to learn how best to do this. She had tried several jewellers and they all said no. So, I said yes, I’ll have a go.

This got me thinking that maybe there is something I can do with old jewellery, how many of us have jewellery that is broken or outdated and just sitting in our jewellery boxes?

What if I could offer to redesign and recraft that old jewellery, just like I have with the brooch?
